Cascadia is a political organization being established in British Columbia. We are building transparent civic infrastructure for participatory policy development. Leadership selection and membership enrolment are forthcoming.
What we believe
- Full transparency — Every consultation result, every bill, every budget breakdown is open and publicly verifiable. Citizens should be able to see exactly what their party stands for and why.
- Lawful & constitutional — Every policy position is screened against the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the Constitution Act, 1867, and applicable BC law. We operate entirely within Canada’s constitutional framework.
- Privacy respecting — Consultation responses are anonymised by default. Your data is never sold or shared with third parties.
- Citizen-first — Policy is shaped by public consultation, not lobbyists or donors. Our draft bills begin as citizen ideas and are developed transparently through community feedback.
What we do
- Public consultation surveys — 47 policy questions covering housing, technology, labour, transit, and governance. Responses are anonymous, recorded, and published as open data. Take the survey
- Draft civic bills — 15 draft bills covering BC’s most pressing issues, clearly marked as party proposals — not enacted law. Browse bills
- Community proposals — Submit policy ideas. Proposals that reach public engagement thresholds are developed into formal party bills. Submit a proposal
- Civic voices — Nominate politicians, community leaders, and cultural figures whose work reflects the values of a transparent BC. View nominations
Legal status
Cascadia is not currently a registered political party. Consultation results are not official legislation, government decisions, referenda, or legally binding outcomes. This platform is not affiliated with Elections BC, the Government of British Columbia, or the Government of Canada.
